Tess Pirrie is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer based in Melbourne/Naarm. Her creative process is highly inﬂuenced by narrative exploration and extensive research into history and techniques, which helps her to craft unique pieces that tell a compelling story. Tess is also passionate about material development, and is currently working on multiple projects involving the use of biomaterial Scoby.
In 2021, Tess completed her Associate’s Degree in Furniture Design at RMIT, following her Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Merchandising from the same institution in 2018. Her works have been featured at Melbourne Design Week and Craft Contemporary.
